Garden Farming Permaculture Workshop with Peter Bane on Saturday July 21st to Sunday July 22, 2012. You will be designing a Permaculture market garden using a market garden that is in their 2nd year of production. Needham Gardens is already incorporating permaculture principles and encompasses a home on one lot with 3 attached empty city lots in the Westpark neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. They are on Facebook so look them up there and like them. The workshop will be held at River’s Edge Cleveland a retreat facility run by the congregation of St Joseph. They run a wellness center as well as a full schedule of speakers and retreats. Check out their website http://www.riversedgecleveland.com/ for more information. The workshop fees include breakfast every day as well as lunch both days. Supper is included on Saturday as well since the workshop will go late to facilitate group design work and lead to an earlier Sunday departure. Breakfast will be available at 7:30 am both days and the Workshop will start at 9 am Saturday and 8:30 am Sunday. Sunday we will conclude by 3 pm at the latest.

Limited lodging is available at River’s Edge, the rooms are singles with a shared bathroom between the two single rooms. One single with private bathroom is available. Since the rooms include 3 meals a break in the lodging cost is factored into the cost for the lodging option.
The Workshop only fee is $ 225 and you must register by Friday July 13, 2012. Cost for the combined onsite lodging for Friday and Saturday night & Workshop is $325. For Saturday only lodging and workshop the fee is $ 275. You must arrive well before 9 pm since the lobby is not staffed after 9 pm. Prior arrangements might be made for a late arrival, just use the email below. The workshop will be held in a spacious room so that everyone will be sitting at a table along with ample room indoors and out to meet and work with your group. Meals are all at River’s Edge with Breakfast, Lunch and Supper being buffet style in their dining room. Vegetarian, Vegan and any specific dietary restrictions will be accommodated as long as an email is sent to Clevelandpermaculture@gmail.com to make the requests. The dining room will be sure to make the appropriate dishes and label them for each of the categories.
