Ambrosia Regenerative Land Care and the Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA.org) present Peter Bane in Cleveland to host a workshop on Garden Farming. Garden Farming is a term coined by Peter in his new book “The Permaculture Handbook” which is using permaculture to meet the self reliant needs of a household. It is further expanded to include the establishment of a Market Garden using permaculture as described in Peter’s new book. This workshop will go beyond basic permaculture principles to design a household to function in the community and be self reliant in it’s own right. Beginners to permaculture as well those well seasoned to permaculture practices will benefit from Peter’s exquisite teaching style honed from his many years of practice and extensive travels.
For those of you who just got his book it will be a way to bring his book to life and meet with other permaculturist to learn and share your skills and further your experience in setting up a self reliant homestead.

This is a rare event not only for the Cleveland area but for the Midwest in general due to Peter’s demanding schedule and obligations. The workshop will take place all day Saturday July 21st and a half a day on Sunday July 22nd at the beautiful retreat setting of River’s Edge Cleveland. (www.riversedgecleveland.com) Home to the Congregation of St Joseph, they are called the ‘green nuns’ because of their dedication to environmental cause one of which is using natural gas powered vehicles obtained from their own well on the property. The food being served is chosen locally when ever they can and is done in a very health conscious way.
